I’m pretty bad at this wordpress thing. I guess the whole idea is to go out and find things to write about rather than just waiting for them to hit you slap in the face.
My motivation levels at this present time don’t let me head out and find what to write. I’m busy with work and making time for friends and the boyfriend and maintaining my life in reality is a obviously more important to me than making sure I keep a blog up-to-date that barely anyone even reads.
Just thought I’d make a post to let all who are interested know that I’m getting on track with sorting my life out a little. Just spent the morning on the phone calling up various places to get things like tax and university sorted out. All the boring finance bits basically.
As soon a I begin to get on track with one thing, everything else seems to follow. So hopefully this means I’ll be starting to commit more time to this as well as other things in my life. You’ve probably guessed by now that my organisation and timing skills are weak and I am completely and utterly happy to admit that.
Anyways, not staying on here for long, I’ll be pressing you later!
They both hold some truth and meaning. We can say you are everything because at any given point in time you are in contact with everything in the universe. It is impossible to escape both the tangible and intangible elements of the universe, they are constantly in contact with your being in a multitude of ways. A few examples are the atoms directly touching your skin as you sit, magnetic waves and invisible light waves from the sun passing through you, etc. Through this phenomena nothing can truly separate itself from all of existence. At the same time, we are nothing. Being part of everything in some ways means you are truly nothing as an individual. The idea that we are separate from the universe is more or less a really persistent delusion that we have somehow acquired. And even if we were separate…the amount of matter that you consist of in relative scope to what an infinite universe might contain is mathematically zero.
I read in an article somewhere that we’re motivated by the ‘intent to seek happiness and avoid pain’. Now as I read this first line, just like you, it made me realise that in no fault of our own we lack motivation. The Western World doesn’t tend to provide us with too many ‘problems’ as such and as we go about our daily lives we are ‘content’.
This is amazing. The power of a clip like this is endless and we need more of these sorts of things impacting our world than the programmes, magazines, and pictures that we see etc, which subconsciously haunt us each day. Thank you Dove!
Women are their own worst beauty critics. Only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful. Dove is committed to creating a world where beauty is a source of confidence, not anxiety. So, they decided to conduct a compelling social experiment that explores how women view their own beauty in contrast to what others see.
